Noside Quest #3

Noside Quest is a creative venture within the broader universe of the French animated series Wakfu, produced by Ankama Animations. Released in the early 2020s, the series serves as a humorous spin-off that experiments with interactive storytelling, allowing the reader to influence the narrative path. Issue #3 continues the lighthearted, meta-fictional tone established in the earlier volumes, focusing on the character Sir Percedal of Sadlygrove in a quest-driven format that blends traditional comic book panels with gamebook mechanics.

The design of the Noside Quest series is heavily influenced by the distinct aesthetic of the Ankama artistic team, characterized by vibrant colors and a stylized, anime-inspired approach. The series was designed to appeal to younger audiences and existing fans of the Wakfu franchise, aiming to bridge the gap between passive reading and active gaming. Reception has been generally positive among the franchise's fanbase, noted for its ability to maintain the personality of the characters while successfully adapting the tone into a choose-your-own-adventure style format.
