One-Punch Man: Yī Quán Chāorén #4

One-Punch Man, or Yī Quán Chāorén, originated as a webcomic created by the artist known as ONE in 2009. The series gained massive online popularity for its subversive take on the superhero genre, specifically its protagonist Saitama, who possesses such overwhelming power that he faces existential boredom rather than physical struggle. The professional manga adaptation, which features this specific issue, began in 2012 with illustrations by Yusuke Murata.

Yusuke Murata, already celebrated for his dynamic work on Eyeshield 21, was brought on to adapt and expand the webcomic. His art style is characterized by highly detailed, cinematic action sequences and a sharp contrast between the minimalist, gag-style design of Saitama and the intricate, hyper-realistic designs of his adversaries. This collaboration was critically acclaimed and became a commercial phenomenon, helping the series achieve international status beyond its digital origins.
