Outre-Tombe Hors Serie #2

Outre-Tombe was a niche French publication dedicated to the macabre, Gothic aesthetics, and dark fantasy art. The Hors Série or special edition issues were curated to dive deeper into specific themes, visual storytelling, and historical curiosities that fell outside the scope of the regular monthly releases, serving as collector-oriented artifacts for enthusiasts of the darker side of alternative media.

The design of issue number two reflects the gritty, underground zine culture prevalent in late 20th-century European horror fandom. Produced with a focus on high-contrast black and white illustration, the publication featured contributions from various underground artists who aimed to evoke a sense of unease and intellectual morbidity. The series was well-received within its specific cult circles, valued for its uncompromising stylistic commitment and its role as a physical record of the underground Gothic subculture.
