Power Pack #12

Power Pack #12, published in July 1985 by Marvel Comics, represents a pivotal entry in a series created by Louise Simonson and artist June Brigman. Debuting in 1984, the title was unique for its time by focusing on a group of young siblings who gained extraterrestrial powers, grounding high-stakes superhero conflict in themes of domestic life and family dynamics. This specific issue features the artwork of June Brigman, whose distinct, expressive style was instrumental in establishing the book's signature blend of wonder and suburban realism.

The issue serves as a standalone narrative within the broader 'Power Pack' run, a series widely praised by critics and readers for its sophisticated approach to children’s perspectives within the Marvel Universe. Louise Simonson’s writing was frequently noted for avoiding condescension, instead treating the characters' moral dilemmas and emotional growth with the same weight as their costumed escapades. The series remains a cult favorite, recognized for its innovative tone and Brigman's clean, dynamic illustrative work that helped define the visual identity of the characters during the mid-1980s.
