Power Pack #21

Power Pack #21, published in April 1986 by Marvel Comics, belongs to a series created by Louise Simonson and artist June Brigman. The title was groundbreaking at the time for its focus on four siblings—Alex, Julie, Jack, and Katie Power—who received extraterrestrial powers and navigated the challenges of both superhero life and childhood. Issue #21 specifically features art by Jon Bogdanove, who took over the interior pencils during this period while maintaining the series' reputation for blending lighthearted adventure with genuine emotional stakes.

The issue is part of a narrative era where the series often addressed serious societal themes through a youth-oriented lens. By the mid-1980s, Power Pack had carved out a dedicated niche audience, praised by critics for its grounded character dynamics that contrasted with the more grim, hyper-masculine aesthetics dominating the comic book industry at the time. The cover and interior work from this era remain sought after by collectors who value the series' unique contribution to Marvel's expansive mid-80s universe.
