Power Pack #23

Power Pack #23 was published by Marvel Comics in June 1986 as part of the ongoing adventures of the Power siblings, a team of children granted extraterrestrial superpowers. This specific issue occurs during the tenure of writer Louise Simonson, who was instrumental in defining the series' unique blend of superhero tropes and domestic drama. The narrative is noted for its focus on the moral complexities faced by the children as they navigate their secret identities and the challenges of growing up.

The issue features artwork by Jon Bogdanove, whose kinetic and expressive style became synonymous with the series during this period. Bogdanove’s illustrations were specifically chosen to capture the youthful energy and emotional weight of the protagonists, successfully distinguishing Power Pack from the grittier superhero titles of the mid-1980s. Upon release, the issue was received as a solid entry in the series, appreciated for its consistent character development and its role in expanding the wider Marvel cosmic landscape.
