Power Pack #47

Power Pack #47 was published in 1989 by Marvel Comics, emerging during the final phase of the original series' run. The title, created by Louise Simonson and artist June Brigman in 1984, was notable for its focus on a team of pre-teen siblings endowed with superpowers. By issue #47, the series was navigating the evolving landscape of late-80s superhero storytelling, often blending domestic drama with the cosmic stakes common to the Marvel Universe of that era.

The issue features artwork by Jon Bogdanove, who took over duties on the series during its later years. Bogdanove brought a distinct, expressive style to the characters that moved away from the more grounded look of earlier issues, leaning into the increasingly surreal adventures the Power siblings were facing as the series approached its conclusion. Critical reception at the time focused on the title's unique role as a bridge between youth-oriented stories and the darker, more serialized nature of mainstream Marvel comics.
