Quantum & Woody #15

Quantum & Woody #15, published in 1998 by Acclaim Comics under the Valiant imprint, represents a significant chapter in the cult-favorite superhero series created by Christopher Priest and M.D. Bright. The series was defined by its irreverent, genre-deconstructing humor and the dysfunctional dynamic between its two protagonists, Eric Henderson and Woody Van Celan. By issue #15, the creative team was deeply established in the title's unique tone, which balanced superhero tropes with sharp satire of the comic book industry of the late 1990s.

The visual identity of the series was driven by M.D. Bright’s clean, expressive linework, which provided a grounded aesthetic that contrasted effectively with the characters' bizarre situations. The writing under Priest utilized non-linear storytelling and meta-commentary, elements that garnered the series a dedicated following despite the broader industry instability that faced Acclaim Comics during this era. The title remains a touchstone for readers who appreciate unconventional takes on the superhero buddy-cop formula.
