Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #120

Groo the Wanderer #120, published in 1993 during the series' tenure at Image Comics, represents a late chapter in the long-running saga created by cartoonist Sergio Aragonés and writer Mark Evanier. The series began in the early 1980s as a satirical take on the sword-and-sorcery genre, centered on a dim-witted but formidable barbarian whose attempts to be helpful inevitably lead to widespread destruction.

The art is quintessential Aragonés, defined by his signature rapid-fire, expressive style and his legendary propensity for filling the margins of his pages with tiny, silent visual gags. By the time this issue was released, Groo had become a cult phenomenon, celebrated for its consistency, wit, and the collaborative chemistry between Aragonés and Evanier, which allowed the book to transition across multiple publishers while maintaining its distinct tone.
