Sun-Ken Rock (Perfect Edition) #2

Sun-Ken Rock, authored and illustrated by Boichi, was originally serialized in Young King magazine between 2006 and 2016. The series follows Ken Kitano, a high schooler who moves to Korea to join the police force after his crush moves there, only to become the boss of a powerful gang. The Perfect Edition serves as a premium omnibus release intended to collect the sprawling narrative in a higher-quality format, featuring revised cover art and improved print quality to better showcase Boichi’s distinctively detailed and kinetic artistic style.

Boichi is celebrated for his hyper-detailed rendering of characters and high-octane action sequences, which were heavily influenced by his background in Korean manhwa and Japanese manga. The series gained significant popularity for its blend of gritty crime drama, comedic elements, and intense visual storytelling. The Perfect Edition was commissioned to consolidate the original volumes, appealing to long-term fans and new collectors who appreciate the refined archival presentation of Boichi's most notable early long-form work.
