Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san #8

Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san is a long-running manga series written and illustrated by Nekoume, which first began serialization in Ichijinsha's Manga 4-koma Palette magazine in 2014. The series centers on Aki Shiina, a middle school student who moves to Tokyo and finds himself living in a boarding house overseen by the gentle and caring caretaker, Ayaka Sunohara. Issue number eight represents a significant entry in this lighthearted comedy series, which is known for its blend of slice-of-life humor and ecchi-adjacent fan service.

Nekoume’s artistic approach emphasizes soft character designs and expressive, comedic pacing typical of the four-panel manga format. Throughout the series, the narrative explores the evolving dynamics between Aki and the female residents of the boarding house. The publication of the eighth volume continued the series' successful run, which eventually inspired an anime adaptation, cementing the franchise's place within the specific subgenre of domestic life comedies aimed at a niche demographic of manga enthusiasts.
