The Incredible Hulk #369

The Incredible Hulk #369, released in 1990, represents a pivotal era in Marvel Comics history during Peter David’s legendary run as writer. At this time, the narrative focused on the 'Professor Hulk' persona, a complex fusion of Bruce Banner’s intellect with the strength of the Gray Hulk. This issue specifically features art by Dale Keown, whose dynamic and detailed penciling was instrumental in defining the character's aesthetic throughout the early 1990s.

The storyline explored the psychological depths of Banner's fragmented consciousness, setting the stage for the character’s evolution into a more stable, albeit troubled, hero. Keown's work on the book was widely praised by readers for its energy and clean lines, helping the title maintain a strong presence in the direct market. The issue remains a notable example of how creators in the late bronze-to-modern age transition used the medium to explore more grounded, character-driven themes within traditional superhero tropes.
