The New Titans #101

The New Titans #101 was published by DC Comics in September 1993, arriving during a transitional period for the long-running series. The issue is notable for being part of a creative era where the team underwent significant roster shifts and narrative restructuring following the departure of longtime writer Marv Wolfman. The storyline featured the internal struggles of the team as they grappled with the fallout of the Titans Hunt arc, reflecting the darker, more introspective tone that many superhero comics adopted during the early 1990s.

The cover art and interiors from this period often emphasized the dramatic tension within the group, utilizing the bold, high-contrast aesthetic characteristic of the era. As a late-run issue in the original series, it serves as a snapshot of the DC Universe's efforts to keep legacy titles relevant amidst shifting readership tastes and the industry-wide focus on revamped team dynamics. It was received as a standard installment in a complex, multi-year saga, prized today primarily by completists focused on the continuity of the Dick Grayson-led incarnation of the team.
