The Omega Men #32

The Omega Men #32, published in November 1985 by DC Comics, serves as a pivotal chapter in the space opera series created by Marv Wolfman and Joe Staton. The title emerged during a period of DC's expansion into cosmic storytelling, focusing on a group of interstellar rebels fighting the Citadel Empire. This specific issue is historically significant as it features early professional work by Todd McFarlane, who provided the interior art, marking a developmental stage in the career of one of the industry's most influential artists.

The narrative within this issue continues the complex political intrigue characteristic of the series, which often grappled with themes of revolution, liberation, and moral ambiguity. While the series struggled to maintain a consistent audience compared to mainstream superhero titles, it garnered a dedicated following for its ambitious world-building and character-driven plots. The art by McFarlane during this run is frequently cited by collectors for its early evidence of the energetic, detailed style that would eventually define his more famous work on Spider-Man and Spawn.
