Vampirella Armageddon #9

Vampirella Armageddon #9 was published by Harris Comics during the late 1990s as part of an ambitious miniseries intended to raise the stakes for the iconic vampire heroine. This era of the character's history sought to modernize her narrative by placing her in apocalyptic scenarios, reflecting the darker and more cynical tone that permeated much of the independent horror-comic market during that period.

The visual direction for this series leaned heavily into the established aesthetic of the 90s, characterized by intricate line work and moody, dramatic panel compositions. While Vampirella was created decades earlier by Forrest J. Ackerman and Trina Robbins, this specific run was produced by a team navigating the industry's shift toward high-concept, serialized storytelling, and it remains a point of interest for collectors who focus on the evolution of horror comics at the turn of the millennium.
