V・B・Rose #14

V・B・Rose, written and illustrated by Banri Hidaka, was a prominent shojo manga series serialized in the Japanese magazine Hana to Yume from 2003 to 2009. Volume 14 represents one of the later chapters in the story, which follows Ageha, a young woman who enters the world of professional wedding dress design after a series of personal upheavals. The series is celebrated for its blend of romantic comedy tropes and the technical detail Hidaka applied to the fashion industry settings.

Hidaka’s design aesthetic for V・B・Rose focuses on expressive, slender character lines and intricate renderings of bridal wear, which were central to the series' visual appeal. Volume 14 maintains this consistent stylistic direction, reflecting the mature narrative arcs the characters undergo as the series nears its conclusion. It was well-received by fans of the genre for its balance of emotional character development and the detailed, elegant illustrations of haute couture garments.
