V・B・Rose #4

V・B・Rose, authored and illustrated by Banri Hidaka, debuted in the Japanese shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume in the early 2000s. The series centers on the life of Ageha, a high school student who navigates complex family dynamics and romantic entanglements after her older sister moves out. The fourth volume serves as a critical point in the narrative, further developing the character relationships within the bridal shop setting that gives the series its name.

Banri Hidaka’s design for this volume maintains the refined, elegant aesthetic characteristic of her work, emphasizing expressive character portraits and detailed fashion illustrations. The series gained steady recognition for its balance of lighthearted romantic comedy and more poignant, grounded emotional stakes. Upon its serialization and subsequent tankōbon release, it was well-received by readers of the genre for its distinct art style and character-driven storytelling.
