Xena: Warrior Princess: Bloodlines #2

Released in 1998 by Dark Horse Comics, this issue is part of the three-part 'Bloodlines' miniseries, which served as an expanded narrative expansion for the popular television show Xena: Warrior Princess. The story was crafted to bridge gaps between television episodes, allowing writers to explore darker themes and mythical encounters that were often constrained by the budget and production realities of late-nineties episodic television.

The interior art was provided by Ian Gibson, a veteran artist known for his clean, expressive style, while the covers often featured promotional photography from the series. The comic was produced during the height of the show's cultural impact, aimed primarily at a dedicated fanbase eager for more lore surrounding the title character's past. While it received a positive reception from established fans of the series, it remains a niche piece of nineties television tie-in media that reflects the broader trend of expanding genre properties into the comic book medium.
