Where it came from
Agnes was released as part of the initial Pop! Movies line dedicated to the 2013 animated feature Despicable Me 2. As a pivotal character in the franchise, her inclusion alongside Gru and the Minions aimed to capitalize on the character's breakout popularity following the first film. The figure depicts her in her signature dungaree dress, clutching her iconic fluffy unicorn toy, capturing the sentimental tone of the character's relationship with Gru.
The design follows the standard Funko Pop aesthetic of the era, characterized by a large, square-shaped head and stylized, simplified facial features. Designed to appeal to fans of the Illumination Entertainment film series, the figure was mass-produced as a collectible vinyl toy. While it was well-received by fans of the franchise as an accessible piece of merchandise, it is now primarily regarded as a foundational piece for collectors who focus on the early years of the Pop! Movies series.
