Beggar So

The Beggar So figure was released as part of the Pop! Asia series, a branch of the Funko Pop line dedicated to celebrating cultural icons, historical figures, and traditional folklore from across the Asian continent. This specific release draws inspiration from the legendary martial arts figure Su Can, popularly known as Beggar So, a character embedded in the Southern Chinese tradition of the Ten Tigers of Canton.

The design seeks to capture the quintessential appearance of the character, often depicted in tattered, traditional robes with his signature gourd. This figure continues Funko's tradition of stylistic simplification, distilling complex historical and fictional archetypes into the characteristic oversized head and diminutive body proportions that define the brand. Upon its release, the figure was welcomed by collectors of the Pop! Asia line as a respectful nod to Chinese folklore and the cultural legacy of kung fu cinema.
