Provenance

Where it came from

The Carl and Ellie Pop! Moment, numbered 1396, was released as a BoxLunch exclusive to commemorate the iconic opening montage of the 2009 Pixar film Up. Designed to capture the tender domestic life of the couple, the figure depicts Carl and Ellie sitting in their respective armchairs, a poignant representation of their long-standing partnership before the events of the movie take place. This specific release was aimed at fans seeking to immortalize the emotional core of the narrative in a collectible format.

Funko’s design team utilized their signature stylized aesthetic to translate the characters’ distinct features into the Pop! vinyl medium, focusing on the intimate details of their living room setting. The piece is part of the broader Pop! Moment series, which excels at freezing narrative snapshots in time. Since its debut, the item has been well-received by collectors who prioritize sentimental value and storytelling, often serving as a centerpiece for displays centered on Pixar's most heartfelt cinematic moments.
