Caterpie

Caterpie, cataloged as number 848 in the Funko Pop! Games line, was released as part of the initial wave of figures celebrating the expansive Pokémon franchise. Produced under The Pokémon Company's licensing, this figure captures the iconic Bug-type creature from the Generation I games. Its design follows the standard Pop! aesthetic, featuring the character's large, expressive eyes and segmented green body, simplified into the signature stylized vinyl form that defines the collectible series.

The figure was created to appeal to both long-time fans of the original Red and Blue titles and newer audiences introduced to the series through later iterations. Like many releases in the Pop! Games collection, the Caterpie design seeks to distill complex creature anatomy into an accessible, uniform silhouette. Upon its debut, the figure was received as a standard addition to the growing roster of Pokémon merchandise, often sought after by collectors aiming to complete their Kanto region sets.
