Where it came from
The Caterpillar, or Absolem, is a character from the 1951 Disney animated feature Alice in Wonderland, which was adapted from Lewis Carroll's classic literature. This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 1009 within the Disney series, was released to celebrate the enduring legacy of the film, capturing the character during his iconic encounter with Alice atop a giant mushroom. The figure is designed to reflect his whimsical appearance, including his signature hookah and vibrant blue coloration.
Funko’s design team created this piece to maintain the aesthetic consistency of the Pop! line while ensuring the Caterpillar's recognizable, languid posture was preserved. Since its release, the figure has been well received by collectors of both Disney memorabilia and fans of the Alice in Wonderland franchise, serving as a nostalgic nod to one of the most surreal sequences in early animation history.
