Cheer Bear (Glow in the Dark)

The Cheer Bear Glow in the Dark Pop! Pez, numbered 351, was produced as part of the Funko Pop! Pez line, a collectible series that reimagined classic candy dispensers as stylized vinyl figures. The Care Bears franchise, originally created by American Greetings in 1981, served as the aesthetic foundation for this item, with Cheer Bear represented by its signature pink fur and the iconic rainbow emblem on its belly. This particular variant incorporates phosphorescent material, allowing the figure to emit a glow after exposure to light, a common design choice by Funko intended to appeal to niche collectors seeking chase or exclusive variants within their product lines.

The design of this figure adheres to the minimalist, uniform proportions established by the Funko Pop aesthetic, stripping back the complex character design of the original 1980s cartoons into a simplified, oversized-head silhouette. As part of a cross-branding initiative between Funko and the Pez candy company, the item bridges the nostalgia of mid-century confectionery marketing with contemporary pop culture vinyl collecting. Upon its release, the item was largely marketed toward long-term fans of the Care Bears brand and Funko completists who prioritize character-specific variants over traditional functionality.
