Where it came from
Cheerleader Deadpool, numbered 325 in the Marvel Pop! series, was released by Funko to celebrate the irreverent nature of the Deadpool franchise. The figure depicts the character in a cheerleader outfit, drawing direct inspiration from a memorable promotional image and sequence featured in the marketing for the 2016 Deadpool film. This specific variant features a pink glitter finish, a specialty aesthetic choice often employed by Funko to differentiate chase or exclusive releases within their broader vinyl figure catalog.
The design prioritizes the recognizable silhouette of Deadpool while subverting the character's typical combat-ready aesthetic with an intentionally absurd, comedic costume. By blending the gritty, fourth-wall-breaking nature of the Marvel mercenary with the bright, high-energy imagery of a cheerleader, the figure captures the self-referential humor that defined the film's promotional campaign. Since its debut, the figure has remained a sought-after piece for collectors who focus on character variants and the playful evolution of the Funko Pop! Marvel line.
