Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Rides series, this figure depicts the Cheshire Cat seated in one of the iconic spinning teacups from the Mad Tea Party attraction. Funko designed this piece to celebrate the whimsical aesthetic of the classic Disney ride, pairing a stylized version of the character with the familiar, ornate detailing of the teacup vehicle. The figure was produced to bridge the gap between character-focused collectibles and the broader nostalgia surrounding Disney theme parks.
The design emphasizes the Cheshire Cat’s mischievous expression and signature stripes, rendered in the oversized-head aesthetic characteristic of the Pop! line. The ride vehicle is modeled to reflect the patterns seen on the actual attraction at Disney parks, intended to evoke the feeling of the ride. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of both the Alice in Wonderland franchise and Disney park enthusiasts, who appreciate the thematic marriage of a beloved character with the park-specific iconography.
