Chewbacca (Gold Chrome) [Galactic Convention]

The Gold Chrome Chewbacca figure was released as a 2016 Galactic Convention exclusive, marking a commemorative entry in the Funko Pop! Star Wars series. As part of a line celebrating the cultural impact of the franchise following the release of The Force Awakens, the figure utilizes the standard mold of the Chewbacca sculpt but features a distinct, reflective gold-plated finish intended to signify its status as a high-value collector's piece.

The design follows the classic Pop! aesthetic characterized by a stylized oversized head and minimalist features, which has become the hallmark of the Funko brand since its inception. This specific variant was created to cater to the convention-exclusive market, appealing to collectors who seek rarity through material finishes rather than physical redesigns. Like much of the series, it was met with high demand among franchise enthusiasts looking for limited-run iterations of core characters.
