Captain Phasma (Chrome)

Captain Phasma, numbered 91 in the Star Wars Pop! series, was released in late 2015 to coincide with the theatrical debut of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As the commander of the First Order’s stormtroopers, the character was designed to evoke a sense of imposing authority through her unique reflective armor. Funko utilized a specialized metallic chrome finish for this particular figure to accurately replicate the distinct, mirror-like aesthetic of the character’s screen-worn costume.

The figure was conceptualized by Funko’s internal design team as part of their broader initiative to capture the renewed excitement surrounding the Star Wars franchise under Disney. It was met with significant enthusiasm from collectors upon release, specifically due to the high-contrast finish that distinguished it from the standard matte-painted figures in the initial wave. The item remains a recognizable piece of the early Sequel Trilogy merchandise catalog.
