Coraline in Raincoat (Diamond Edition)

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, this figure commemorates the 2009 stop-motion feature film Coraline, produced by Laika Studios and based on Neil Gaiman’s novella. The character of Coraline Jones, depicted here in her iconic yellow raincoat, represents the film’s distinctive visual aesthetic, which blended whimsical gothic elements with the meticulous craft of puppet animation. This particular release is marked as a Diamond Edition, a subset of the Pop! line characterized by the application of glitter textures meant to mimic a shimmering or magical appearance.

The design of the figure translates the stylized proportions of the Coraline puppets into the standard Funko aesthetic while retaining key identifying features like her blue hair and hood. Created for collectors of the film’s memorabilia, this piece serves as a physical homage to the critically acclaimed movie directed by Henry Selick. While these figures are mass-produced for the global retail market, the Diamond Edition variants are often sought after by fans for their unique finish, which distinguishes them from the standard vinyl releases within the Animation series.
