Dancing Groot (Ravagers - Red)

The Dancing Groot figure, specifically the Ravagers version in red attire, was released as part of the initial Guardians of the Galaxy Funko Pop! Marvel line. It represents the iconic post-credits scene from the 2014 James Gunn film, where the character Groot, having regrown from a small sprig, dances to the Jackson 5 track 'I Want You Back' while Drax is not looking. The design captures the character in his small pot, rendered in the characteristic large-headed, stylized aesthetic that defined the Pop! brand's rapid expansion during the mid-2010s.

Funko’s design team leaned into the character's breakout popularity following the film's success, aiming to capture a specific, whimsical moment of levity. As part of the Marvel series numbered 65, the figure reflects a period where Funko transitioned from a niche collectible company to a major pop-culture phenomenon. The red Ravager-themed iteration was created to offer a distinct variant from the standard potted Groot, acknowledging the character's frequent shifts in appearance throughout the movie's marketing and final sequences.
