Dancing Groot (White)

The Dancing Groot figure, specifically released as Pop! number 65, was introduced by Funko following the 2014 blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy. It commemorates the film's memorable post-credits sequence where a young, sapling version of the character dances in a pot to the Jackson 5 hit 'I Want You Back'. This particular white-bodied variation was produced as a specific chase or store-exclusive variant, capturing the character in a simplified, stylized form that adheres to the established Funko Pop! aesthetic.

The design of the figure was executed under the direction of Funko’s creative team, who aimed to translate the organic, twig-like textures of Groot into the company’s signature oversized-head and beady-eyed format. While the base design focuses on the character's whimsical nature, the white finish serves as a stylistic departure from the standard woody brown palette. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, quickly becoming a staple in the expansive Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise line for its connection to one of the film's most iconic cinematic moments.
