Where it came from
The Dapper Jack Skellington figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Disney Diamond Collection, a series characterized by figures featuring a glitter-infused finish. This particular item represents the iconic protagonist of Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion animated film, The Nightmare Before Christmas, depicted in his formal 'dapper' tuxedo attire rather than his traditional striped suit.
The design draws from the character's appearance during the film's climax and marketing materials, emphasizing a refined, stylized aesthetic consistent with the Pop! vinyl line's oversized head and minimalist features. Like many entries in the Diamond Collection, this figure was developed to provide a premium, collectible variation for fans of the franchise, aiming to capture the dark whimsy of Halloween Town through a tactile, shimmering texture.
