Where it came from
Dead Boris is a vinyl figure from the Pop! Games series, released by Funko to celebrate the atmospheric horror game Bendy and the Ink Machine. The character, a macabre, dissected iteration of the beloved cartoon wolf Boris, appears during a pivotal and unsettling chapter of the game, serving as a jarring departure from the whimsical, rubber-hose animation style that defines the franchise's visual identity.
The figure design captures the contrast between the character's vintage, 1930s-inspired aesthetics and the grim reality of the studio's decay. Funko translated the character's eerie, muted appearance into their signature stylized form, ensuring it fit seamlessly within their broader line of collectibles. Upon release, it was received as a sought-after piece for fans of the game's dark, surreal narrative and distinctive art direction.
