Where it came from
Ink Bendy, released as number 289 in the Funko Pop! Games series, represents the primary antagonist of the indie horror game Bendy and the Ink Machine. The character design is a direct translation of the game's stylistic 'rubber hose' animation aesthetic from the 1930s, twisted into a jagged, corrupted form. Funko produced this figure to capitalize on the cult success of the game, which gained significant popularity through social media and influencer playthroughs following its episodic debut in 2017.
The figure captures the character's signature ink-drip motif and distorted grin, reflecting the visual identity established by Joey Drew Studios. Because the game relies heavily on its monochromatic, vintage-inspired art style, the transition to the vinyl medium was a natural fit for Funko's design team. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the franchise who sought physical representations of the game's eerie, supernatural characters, solidifying its place within the broader catalog of horror-themed collectibles.
