Deadpool (Orange) (Freddy Funko)

The Freddy Funko as Deadpool (Orange) figure was released as a promotional crossover, merging the Funko brand mascot, Freddy Funko, with the popular Marvel anti-hero Deadpool. It belongs to the broader Marvel Universe Pop! line, which began in 2011 to capture the rising demand for stylized vinyl collectibles based on comic book characters. This specific iteration served as a convention exclusive, designed to generate interest at major pop culture events by blending the recognizable Funko mascot aesthetic with Deadpool’s iconic red and black costume, adapted here with a distinct orange color variant.

The design follows the standard Pop! vinyl template, characterized by a large, square-shaped head and simplified facial features. While the character Deadpool was created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, the Freddy Funko variants were conceptualized by the Funko creative team to encourage high-level collector engagement. These figures are widely regarded as premium chase items, prized for their scarcity and the unique way they celebrate the history of both the Funko company and the Marvel cinematic and comic legacy.
