Deadpool (Metallic)

Released as part of the second wave of the Funko Pop! Marvel line, this metallic variant of Deadpool was introduced to satisfy collector demand for specialized finishes on popular characters. Emerging from Funko's rapid expansion in the early 2010s, the figure design leans into the simplified aesthetic that defines the line, utilizing the standard base mold for the character while applying a distinct sheen to the suit's red sections to differentiate it from the matte retail version.

The character design captures Deadpool in his classic red and black spandex, emphasizing the exaggerated proportions and oversized head characteristic of the Pop! vinyl style. This metallic iteration was aimed at the growing hobbyist market that favored limited colorways and variants. While the standard version of number 20 became a staple for Marvel fans, this metallic finish is frequently cited by collectors as an early example of the variant-hunting culture that would later come to dominate the brand's release strategy.
