Where it came from
Ed, known formally as Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV, was released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line representing the classic 1998 anime series Cowboy Bebop. Produced to capture the eccentric and genius-level hacker persona of the show's youngest protagonist, the figure was designed with the characteristic large-head, wide-eyed aesthetic that defines the Pop! brand.
The design of this figure leans into the iconic visual style of the series, featuring Ed in her signature oversized yellow shirt and goggles. As part of a series that revitalized interest in nostalgic anime properties, it was met with positive reception from fans of the show who appreciated the nod to the character's kinetic and unpredictable personality within the relatively static format of a vinyl collectible.
