Where it came from
The Evil Inuyasha Funko Pop figure, numbered 770 in the Animation line, was released to represent the darker, demonic transformation of the titular protagonist from the long-running manga and anime series Inuyasha. Created by Rumiko Takahashi, the series follows a half-demon who finds himself caught between his human and yokai heritage. This specific design captures Inuyasha in a corrupted state, reflecting the high-stakes narrative arcs where he loses control over his demonic powers.
The design of the figure emphasizes the aesthetic departure from his standard attire, highlighting the distinct features of his transformation. As part of Funko's broader initiative to bring classic anime characters into the collectible vinyl market, the figure was met with enthusiasm by long-term fans of the franchise who sought to complete their character rosters with variations. It serves as a visual acknowledgment of the darker themes that define the character's internal struggle throughout the series.
