Where it came from
Released in 2019 as part of the Funko Pop! Games series, this figure depicts Yusuke Kitagawa, known by his phantom thief alias Fox, from the critically acclaimed role-playing game Persona 5. The design captures the character in his signature fox-masked thief attire, complete with his katana and blue aesthetic, reflecting the stylized, high-contrast art direction synonymous with the game's visuals.
The figure was produced during a period of significant growth for the Persona franchise, following the international success of Persona 5's original release. Designed under Funko's standard aesthetic guidelines, it aimed to translate the intricate character models of the game into a simplified, uniform vinyl format, a strategy that helped integrate the persona universe into the broader global collectible market and appealed to fans of both Japanese gaming and western pop-culture merchandise.
