Skull

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Games series, this figure depicts Ryuji Sakamoto, known by his codename Skull, from the critically acclaimed role-playing game Persona 5. The figure was produced to coincide with the widespread popularity of the title, which follows a group of high school students who manifest their personas to reform society. As part of the broader Persona 5 wave, it reflects Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, characterized by a large head and simplified, de-emphasized features intended to capture the essence of the game's iconic character designs.

The design process for the Persona 5 line focused on translating the game's distinct, vibrant art style into the uniform Funko vinyl format. The Skull figure specifically highlights Ryuji's Phantom Thief attire, including his signature mask and skull-themed motifs, which serve as a visual shorthand for his rebellious personality within the game's narrative. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the franchise, serving as a collectible acknowledgment of the game's cultural impact and the dedicated following of the Phantom Thieves.
