Where it came from
Released to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, this figurine represents Glinda the Good Witch, the benevolent character who guides Dorothy Gale throughout her journey in the Land of Oz. The design reflects the stylized aesthetic characteristic of Funko's Pop! Movies line, featuring the signature oversized head and simplified features, while incorporating the elaborate crown and gown elements from the iconic performance by Billie Burke.
The figure was produced as part of a wider collection celebrating the enduring legacy of MGM’s cinematic masterpiece. By capturing the character’s recognizable aesthetic, the design team aimed to evoke nostalgia for the film’s Technicolor aesthetic. It is received by collectors as a staple addition to the Oz-themed sets, intended to provide a whimsical representation of the film's most hopeful figure.
