Where it came from
Himiko Toga, a central antagonist in the My Hero Academia franchise, was introduced by creator Kohei Horikoshi as a member of the League of Villains. The character is defined by her quirk, Transform, and her unsettling obsession with others, often expressed through a distinct, manic aesthetic. This Funko Pop! figure, number 2159 in the Animation line, captures her signature school uniform and the equipment used to harvest blood, reflecting the character's transition from manga page to stylized vinyl collectible.
Funko’s design team developed this iteration to align with the company’s established aesthetic of exaggerated, large-eyed proportions while maintaining the specific visual cues that fans recognize from the anime adaptation. The figure is part of an ongoing series dedicated to the expansive cast of My Hero Academia. Upon release, the figure was met with typical enthusiasm from the franchise’s dedicated collector base, who prioritize these figures as a way to represent the series' complex roster of heroes and villains on their shelves.
