Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, this figure depicts Himiko Toga, a prominent antagonist from the popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia. The series, created by Kohei Horikoshi, follows a world where individuals with superpowers, known as Quirks, are common, and the narrative focuses on the conflict between burgeoning heroes and the League of Villains to which Toga belongs.
Funko’s design team adapted Toga’s signature aesthetic, including her distinctive school uniform, messy blonde buns, and the complex gear she uses to harvest blood for her transformation quirk. The figure is designed to capture her mischievous yet unsettling demeanor, translating Horikoshi’s character design into the brand's iconic stylized vinyl aesthetic, which has become a staple for fans seeking to curate collections of modern anime icons.
