Hordak

Hordak was released as part of the initial wave of Funko Pop! Television figures dedicated to the Masters of the Universe franchise. This figure draws directly from the classic 1980s animated aesthetic of the Evil Horde leader, emphasizing his distinctive bat-like crest and formidable, pale appearance. As one of the early entries in the line, it reflects the company’s intent to capture the nostalgia of 80s action figure collectors by miniaturizing iconic villains into the stylized, large-headed vinyl format that defined the brand's rapid expansion during the 2010s.

The design of the figure was overseen by Funko's internal creative team, who focused on distilling the character's intricate armor and robotic components into the brand's signature simplified aesthetic. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of the Masters of the Universe series for providing an affordable and compact alternative to the larger, highly articulated collector figures of the time. The figure remains a staple for those curating a comprehensive collection of 80s animation icons, representing a significant antagonist in the broader Eternia mythos.
