Horde Trooper

The Horde Trooper was released as part of the Funko Pop! Retro Toys line, specifically appearing as number 87 within the Masters of the Universe collection. This figure pays homage to the classic 1980s action figure line, capturing the robotic infantry soldiers who served under the villainous Hordak in the Evil Horde faction. The design emphasizes the character's distinct metallic silver armor and the iconic red bat-like emblem on the chest, which served as a hallmark of the Horde's aesthetic in both the original toy line and the subsequent animated series.

The figure reflects Funko's broader initiative to celebrate nostalgia by reimagining retro toy designs through its signature stylized vinyl aesthetic. These collectibles are typically aimed at long-time fans of the Masters of the Universe franchise, bridging the gap between vintage action figure enthusiasts and modern pop culture collectors. Upon its release, the figure was generally well-received for its attention to the source material's recognizable armor and color palette, successfully translating a classic foot soldier character into the simplified, large-eyed form factor synonymous with the Pop! brand.
