Huckleberry Hound (Blue)

Huckleberry Hound, identified as Pop number 15, was released as part of the initial wave of Hanna-Barbera figures by Funko. Debuting in the early 2010s, this piece represents one of the foundational figures that helped establish the Pop vinyl aesthetic, drawing on the immense legacy of the 1958 character created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The figure features the character’s signature southern gentleman persona, complete with his light blue coloration and quintessential hat, aiming to capture the mid-century animation style that defined Saturday morning television for generations.

The design of this figure leans heavily into the minimalist, oversized-head caricature that Funko pioneered for the Hanna-Barbera catalog. It was developed to appeal to both long-time fans of the original cartoon and a new generation of collectors interested in retro animation icons. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by the collecting community for its simplicity and fidelity to the source material, serving as a nostalgic touchstone that helped anchor the early success of the broader Hanna-Barbera toy line.
