Hugo Simpson

Hugo Simpson was released as part of the Funko Pop! Television line, specifically commemorating the iconic Treehouse of Horror anthology series from The Simpsons. The figure is modeled after the character's appearance in the segment The Thing and I from the seventh season, where Bart discovers his long-lost, surgically separated twin brother living in the attic. The design captures Hugo's disheveled aesthetic and his signature scar, leaning into the darker, subversive humor that defined the early era of the show's annual Halloween specials.

Funko’s design team developed this figure to satisfy the long-standing demand from fans for characters beyond the primary Simpson family members. By focusing on the 'Treehouse of Horror' aesthetic, the series allowed the company to explore more niche and macabre iterations of classic characters. Upon release, the figure was well-received by collectors who appreciated the specific cultural reference to a fan-favorite episode, serving as a distinct departure from the standard yellow-hued characters typically found in the main line.
