Skeleton Marge

Skeleton Marge was released as part of the Funko Pop! Television line, specifically within the ongoing sub-series dedicated to The Simpsons' annual Treehouse of Horror specials. These figures draw inspiration from the show's long-running tradition of parodying classic horror, science fiction, and supernatural tropes during the Halloween season. The design reflects Marge Simpson's iconic silhouette, reimagined with a skeletal aesthetic that pays homage to the 'Night of the Dolphin' segment or similar macabre visual gags found throughout the series' anthology episodes.

The aesthetic direction for this piece emphasizes the blend of high-contrast, stylized animation roots with the recognizable uniform of the Funko Pop! brand. By maintaining the familiar physical proportions of the character while shifting to a bone-white color palette and simplified anatomical details, the designers aimed to capture the playful yet eerie spirit of the Treehouse of Horror broadcasts. Upon its release, the figure was welcomed by collectors who specialize in The Simpsons memorabilia and those who curate horror-themed displays, serving as a seasonal highlight within the broader franchise collection.
