Where it came from
Inky is part of the Pop! Games line released by Funko to celebrate the enduring legacy of the 1980 arcade classic, Pac-Man. The figure depicts one of the four iconic ghosts that serve as the primary antagonists in the game, characterized by its distinctive cyan color and a design aesthetic that translates the original 8-bit pixel art into Funko's signature stylized vinyl form. These figures were produced to appeal to both long-time arcade enthusiasts and modern collectors of pop culture memorabilia.
The design of the Inky Pop! adheres to the minimalist, uniform structure of the ghost characters from the franchise, maintaining the recognizable large eyes and scalloped base that define the in-game sprites. Funko collaborated with Bandai Namco to ensure the series reflected the visual language of the original cabinet experience. Since its release, the figure has been received as a foundational piece for fans of vintage gaming, often displayed alongside the titular Pac-Man and his other ghostly counterparts to complete the classic roster.
