Izabel

Izabel was released by Funko as part of the Pop! Comics line, representing the critically acclaimed space-opera comic series Saga, written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Fiona Staples. The character, a spectral teenager and former landmine ghost, serves as a central companion and guide to the protagonists. Her transition into a vinyl figure captures her distinctive translucent aesthetic and floating appearance, which posed a unique technical challenge for the design team tasked with translating Staples' detailed, ethereal art style into the signature oversized-head format.

Upon its introduction to the market, the figure was met with significant enthusiasm from the dedicated Saga readership, who appreciated the expansion of merchandise for a creator-owned series. It remains a notable piece for collectors of the Pop! Comics line, valued for its representation of a character whose visual design is inextricably linked to the dark, imaginative world-building of the comic. The figure reflects the broader intent of the series to bring non-traditional, complex graphic novel characters into the mainstream collectibles space.
